Job description

Position Purpose

Operates a tall lift or stand up forklift in conjunction with performing assigned duties in the distribution center. Processes merchandise and provides support in the assigned area of the distribution center; receiving, order filling, special handling or shipping, to facilitate an accurate and efficient flow of goods to the stores.

Essential Functions

1. Process merchandise in a timely, accurate, and productive manner and provide support through one of the following assigned areas of the distribution center: Replenishments, Order Filling, Receiving, Special Handling, or Shipping.

2. Ensure company safety policies and procedures are consistently followed and maintained in assigned area.

Qualifications and Skills Required

-- High School Diploma or GED

-- Good communication and mathematical skills

-- Team-oriented work style

Working Conditions

-- Merchandise distribution environment where extreme fluctuations in temperature are possible

-- Frequent and repetitive lifting and maneuvering of merchandise

-- Exposure to exhaust fumes from forklifts and other merchandise maneuvering equipment

-- Potential exposure to excessive noise levels
