The Role

District Sales Managers (“DSMs”) are the professional face of Won-Door to the end-users, architects and contractors who benefit from our solutions. (Won-Door’s premium accordion-door fire, security, and sound solutions meet required building codes while enabling architects to create open, inviting environments because they are hidden until employed in an emergency.) Our DSMs demonstrate big picture vision to interact directly with owners during project development, guide architects through design phase using technical, product and building code knowledge, and carry our success through the bidding and construction process by ensuring general contractors understand and value the Won-Door solutions applicable to their projects. Ultimately, our DSMs are accountable for leveraging the resources of our company to grow sales in their districts and are well-rewarded for their success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop relationships with targeted architectural firms as a coordinated effort with commercial solutions sales lead.

· Optimized product specifications for commercial solutions to increase specification rate, representing full product offerings specified for a job.

· Demonstrate big picture vision to interact directly with owners during project development, guide architects through design phase using technical capability and maximize efficiency with installers and contractors throughout execution utilizing product and application knowledge.

· Use technical promotion to educate architects, including AIA credited presentations and product selection guidance for projects early in the design phase.

· Create educational tools (presentations, videos, whitepapers, etc.), to engage with the architect community.

· Ensure product documentation is optimized for architectural consumption (i.e. types of files, ease of access to most current product information).

· Understand trends for architectural community to ensure we are putting those items in our pipeline (i.e. preference to a certain way to do energy analysis or optimizing specification workflow).

· Available to travel frequently and represent the company in a professional manner.Qualifications, Skills/Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful experience in a door opening solutions sales role (Automatic Doors, Storefront/Glazing, Fire/Security Doors, Access Control/Life Safety, Overhead Doors, etc.)
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with CRM systems.
  • An ability to be a team player, while also having a strong work ethic and ability to work remotely.
  • A proficiency in reading plans and specifications; working knowledge of door and hardware solutions, fire and security solutions, and/or related building codes is preferred.
  • An established network of relationships in education, healthcare, hospitality, retail and/or high-rise multi-family is preferred.
  • Professional appearance with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent time management, oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both to individuals and groups.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or similar discipline is helpful but not required.

Location: Remote, San Antonio, TX area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
