THE POSITION
Endura is seeking a Division Operations Manager for their Wood Division with facilities in North Carolina and Texas. Based in North Carolina, the Division Ops Manager will have full P&L accountability for the Wood Division with annual revenue of approximately $115M. The business encompasses three facilities, two in North Carolina (Colfax and Stokesdale) and one in Texas, leading a total employee population of approximately 285, with direct reports including a Production Manager and multiple Manufacturing Supervisors, the site maintenance teams, a Production Control group, and a Lumber Buyer.
Managing the Wood Division, the Division Operations Manager will contribute to strategic planning while ensuring that division activities (inclusive of all three facilities) are consistent and aligned to overall corporate strategy. The Wood Division has been one of the pre-eminent domestic leaders in the exterior door frame market, has made substantial ongoing investments in the business, and has introduced new products in this product category. While the division has enjoyed good success to date, it faces significant challenges to take the next step in growth, to capitalize on business opportunities. This Divisional Leadership position requires managing change, developing people and systems, ensuring employee engagement through leadership, and ensuring a consistent focus on Safety and Quality. It is expected this position will ensure Endura Products, Inc. maintains its competitive leadership position in the market by taking on higher volumes, outperforming competitors in response time, and growing the bottom line while effectively servicing customers. As such, the objective will be to improve the manufacturing process in order to deliver unprecedented manufacturing and shipping volumes and overall growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for fostering a safe operating environment and prioritizing safety above all else. This position is accountable, with the support of the EHS group, for employee safety, safety, and environmental compliance, and ensuring a culture that promotes this emphasis.
- Optimize the manufacturing processes and ensure the implementation of best practices to enhance overall facility efficiencies and productivity.
- The operation is a 2-shift 5-day operation. Involvement in both shifts and ensuring a smooth shift transition is critical.
- Build structure into the business conducive to delivering higher output and increased shipments, leading to improved overall financial performance.
- Actively involved in filling open roles and developing talent to counteract significant labor challenges and costs currently and in the future.
- Accountable for the financials of the Wood Division that will strategically leverage diverse resources, prioritize, and support real time operation and long-term productivity, quality and efficiency goals.
- Responsible for production standards and the development and adherence of safety and quality programs, in addition to overall improvement in safety and maintenance.
- Develop and sustain a high-performance workforce by partnering with the HR Department to build a strong production team, enact good performance management practices, and communicating with wage roll employees both one-on-one and in town halls.
- Build working relationships with peers in achieving and maintaining the accuracy and consistent flow of information, execution of procedures, and performance of the overall operations.
- Improve cross-functional communication and collaboration and develop a more participatory, cohesive, and team-based organization.
- Take initiative to engage employees by holding town halls while simultaneously representing Endura Products, Inc. in the broader community.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience with a background in process engineering, operations leadership in a highly technical manufacturing environment.
- Some experience in Wood Processing business preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing and a Continuous Improvement environment.
- A highly motivated and results-oriented self-starter (one that takes initiative to learn the business quickly) that translates strategy into concrete plans and results with an ability to plan for the future.

- This role is based in Stokesdale, North Carolina with a nearby facility in Colfax, NC. Occasional travel to the TX facility will be required. This is NOT a position that can be done remotely as we expect our OPS leaders to have a significant presence on the plant floor.
