Job Summary:

The Door Hardware Technician is responsible for prepping and applying door hardware to commercial aluminum and glass doors, primarily at our fabrication facility.

Essential Functions:

• Read and work from templates.
• Review door hardware schedules and be able to prep and apply hardware to doors.
• Cycle doors in the fabrication shop, making sure the hardware is functioning properly.
• Work closely with Quality Control Inspector making sure hardware is free from defects and installed correctly.
• Travel to job sites, when required, to service and/or troubleshoot doors and hardware.

Qualifications:

• Fabrication experience in glass and/or commercial construction.
• Experience working with electrical door hardware and wiring.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in reading engineering CAD drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of glass construction methods and materials.
• Fundamental knowledge of building design and codes.
• Knowledge of OSHA & OSHA-10.
• The physical demands of this job require candidate to be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and have good balance, agility, vision and depth perception.
• Local travel may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
