Role Profile

Position: Driver

Job Location: Norwalk, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

Status: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Role

This primary function of this role is to support the logistical needs of the Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures
• Delivers all branch products to customers
• Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse
• Ships items to customers and processes internal transfers between branches
• Responsible for cleanliness and order of warehouse. Uses a forklift, pallet jack and other tools to accomplish tasks

Skills and Abilities

• Requires mechanical inclination
• Must have basic computer skills including, MS Word, Excel, Internet and Email
• Possesses excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner
• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure
• Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Other job duties as required

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record are required
• Delivery experience desired
• Ability to pass DOT physical are required
• Previous warehousing experience in Industrial Distribution or Production experience preferred, but not required
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
