Full-Time Route Driver

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides assistance for the poor, needy, and homeless, is seeking a full-time route driver based out of our Libertyville location.

We are in search of individuals with a lot of energy to join our team and work with our employees who enjoy being a part of something special and helping those in need.

Job Description:

Dedicated local truck drivers are needed to help us complete our routes. Among the responsibilities of this position is picking up donations from our stores and drop-off locations. Your duties would also include maintaining the company truck. Adapting local routes could also be possible in traffic congestion, road maintenance, etc.

You should be able to effectively communicate with fellow workers, dispatch, and store staff and adhere to road safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

· Safely travel to and from specified locations according to company delivery schedules.

· Properly secure loads to ensure that they are not damaged in transit.

· Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, using forklifts as required.

· Notify management of any accidents, parking tickets, vehicle damage, and major maintenance issues.

· Ensure that the company truck is always clean and well-maintained.

Qualifications Include:

• Commercial “C” License required

• Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.

• Early morning weekday shift and occasional Saturday

• Forklift experience a PLUS
