Job description
Under the direction of Learning & Development, conducts in-person classroom training and behind-the-wheel training for new and existing drivers and operators. Also provides training to new and experienced personnel in support roles. Evaluates learners, provides coaching, and records learner progress in learning management system. Performs the job and duties of Driver and/or Operator when not actively training. Estimated time spent training is 80% of their time.
Essential Functions:
· Provide classroom-based and behind-the-wheel training to new and existing drivers, operators, and support personnel.
· Spot check driver safe practices according to a regular schedule.
· Accurately and consistently log and enter driver training records in accordance with established practices.
· Conduct periodic driver training re-certifications for licensed test drivers and other personnel.
· Work to expand and develop new driver training programs as required.
· Set the standard for safe driving and be an example for the Driver Group.
· Train staff with regard to rules and regulations, advocating driver training consistent with safety rules and regulations.
· Perform all functions of Autonomous Vehicle Driver/Operator, and function as such when not actively training.
· Ability to conduct special test driver duties and responsibilities as necessary.
· Continually work to improve your driver skills earning new training certificates and higher levels of training knowledge.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Perform various additional duties assigned as needed.

Collaborate within L&D and across other relevant teams. Document relevant training and support materials. Acquire and provide assets used for training development.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Experience- Minimum of six (6) months of experience as Autonomous Vehicle Driver or Operator. Must possess a valid AZ drivers license and Advanced Driver Training Instructor Classification. Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and how they affect ability to maintain vehicle control required. Knowledge of adult learning concepts and ability to demonstrate relevant techniques. Must be self-motivated, organized and accurate. Willingness to work under challenging circumstances and time constraints, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and availability. Communication skills, verbal and written, are a priority. Requires patience and ability to train and give instructions to a wide variety of people on a daily basis.
Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associates degree preferred, but may consider prior work experience in related field.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis. Must be flexible and able to perform numerous tasks as requested. Must be flexible to work overtime and hours above and beyond normal scheduled hours including weekends and holidays. Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and, where applicable, a physical.
