Driver/Light Equipment Operator/Laborer: Full-Time position performing maintenance duties for town streets and highways, sidewalks, drainage systems of culverts, catch basins and manholes, street sweeping, patching potholes, tree maintenance, snowplowing, performing minor equipment repairs and assisting others in this and the Buildings & Grounds Department.

Qualifications and experience: Must possess a High School or GED diploma. Successful applicant will have general knowledge of the repair and maintenance of public infrastructure and the equipment used for the same, ability to work well in a team while also able to work independently using sound judgment under limited supervision.

Special Requirements: Position requires a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement and Class 2B Hoisting License. Applications from those with only CDL learners permit will also receive consideration. As a condition of employment is required to complete a pre-employment physical examination and maintain sufficient physical condition to perform the essential functions of the position in a safe and efficient manner and to participate in the Town's Random Drug Testing Program.

Pay Rate: In accordance with the Union Contract (on our website- at this link)

The position will be open until filled. First reviews will begin November 22, 2022. The Town of Templeton is an EOE.
