Tyto Athene is looking for aDrupal Developer/Tester to be hands providing technical expertise in systems design, development, testing and maintenance. Responsible for developing and utilizing the Drupal platform to create components and operating the platform as well as supporting testing efforts as part of overall QA/QC initiatives. The key job responsibility is to provide technical expertise to create and test client components. This position will be responsible for participating in Agile Sprints, Code Reviews, Unit Testing, and Change and Release Management.

Responsibilities:

• Design client components and creates technical approaches, including Twig templates, blocks, views, content types, taxonomy configuration
• Develop and test front end interfaces including working with Drupal themes
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of user interface and user experience designs, making use of the use of US

• Web Design system to build accessible mobile-friendly government web sites.
• Develop and test custom web apps using Drupal and/or other technologies
• Follows structured Agile processes and offers improvements
• Support software release DevOps processes
• Understand and analyze effectiveness of overall business objectives and the technical implementation of client websites and web applications with the goal of performance optimization and improving user experience

Knowledge and skills:

. Working knowledge of solutions in web content management, digital asset management, CMS, web analytics.

. Knowledge and experience with full-stack Drupal development (i.e. templating, theming, custom module development, etc.),

. Knowledge and use of PHP and related back-end software for development

. Knowledge and use of CSS, HTML, JavaScript, SASS, Twig, JQuery Bootstrap, and related front-end development

. Experience with use of US Web Design system to build accessible mobile-friendly government web sites

. Ability to write Stored Procedures, write SQL queries, and analyze SQL data

. Excellent problem solving capability and good communication skills

Education and work experience:

. Bachelor degree required in IT or a related field.

. 3+ years of experience as a senior developer/programmer, 1+ Years of Drupal experience

. Experience using the Acquia Digital Experience Platform preferred

. Experience with custom API integrations, JSON/XML, SQL, Javascript, custom import/export of data, DNS, Google Analytics, and structured data

. Strong planning, estimating, organizing, and coordinating skills

. Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
