The QUIKRETE® Companies, the leading producer of packaged concrete and related products, has immediate second shift (7:30 PM to 5 AM) openings at our Moore Haven facility for a dependable, team-oriented DRYER LOADER OPERATOR.
The Dryer Operator is a critical, skill position requires a basic understanding of mechanical systems, forklift or front-end loader experience preferred, attention to detail, and desire to do well. Must be able to climb to tops of silos.(50 feet) and be able to perform daily housekeeping (shovel and brooming work areas).
The Dryer Operator is responsible for the operation of the dryer and related equipment. Other responsibilities include the supervision of the unloading of raw materials and frequently require the operation of a front-end loader. This position reports to the Production Manager and must work closely with other production management and maintenance personnel in order to meet production and plant cost objectives. Teamwork with other company supervisors, peers, and subordinates is a must.
Responsibilities include the scheduling of the drying of various raw materials in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to meet plant production requirements. Monitors all controls and safety devices on the dryer and burner are operating properly.
This position will require overtime and some weekend work during the peak season.
H.S. degree or GED, and ability to read and write English is required
