Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Infant-Toddler Guide to join our Montessori family.

Salary/Hourly rate is based on education and experience.

Basic Requirements:

  • A degree or certification related to early childhood or proof that you are working towards it.
  • Ability to relate positively with young children.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a Montessori school, a quality preschool, or a public school
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Required Duties:

  • Must have a passion for Early Childhood Education
  • Develop lesson plans for whole group and be knowledgeable on how to lead circle time.
  • Interacts and engages with children.
  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
  • Observe, guide, and assess each child while they learn in the classroom environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of each child.
  • Understand where each child is at in each curriculum area of the classroom.
  • Attending staff meetings, training, and scheduled after school activities or programs.
  • Rotate seasonal shelves once a month.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication with children, parents, and staff.
  • Conduct Parent Teacher Conferences and student evaluations.
  • Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages Montessori Philosophy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

  • Smithville, MO: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
