Raintree School is seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic, full-time Early Childhood Teacher (floater) who can confidently lead a class of young children and be part of a joyful team. This position also includes administrative/clerical tasks.

Raintree School is a progressive, independent school in Town & Country, MO on eleven beautiful acres of woodland. We are a community of dedicated, collaborative, and innovative teachers focused on sharing our progressive, social-constructivist model. Ideal candidates possess a knowledge of early childhood development, are familiar with the Reggio Emilia Approach, and Forest School pedagogy. Experience with Emergent Curriculum, Experiential Education, and Place-Based Learning, pillars that support our pedagogy, is a plus.

SIGNING BONUS: $1,000 paid after 6 months of employment.

Job Duties and Details for Early Childhood Teacher (floater)

• Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm -OR- 9 am to 5 pm
• Provide direct care for children aged 2 to 7 years old in a preschool setting
• Substitute for absent teachers
• Step into classrooms to facilitate breaks and planning periods for faculty
• Provide classroom support as needed
• Provide administrative/clerical support as needed

Job Qualifications for Early Childhood Teacher (floater)

• REQUIRED: Two years of preschool teacher, daycare, or child care experience
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in early childhood, elementary education, art education, or music education
• Preferred: Missouri teaching certificate

The ideal Early Childhood Teacher (floater) candidate will have:

• Reggio/constructivist training and/or experience
• Enthusiasm about the forest school model
