Engineering Leadership Development Program
Pratt & Whitney’s Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) Module Center is a seeking a Project Engineer to join the Advanced Engines Component Integrated Product Team to support the CSE Technology Manager in the formulation and management of the technology roadmaps and technology development strategy for our next generation products. The candidate will be responsible for managing the progression of the technologies within the Technology Development Plan and supporting technology development proposal submissions.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software, systems engineering or related discipline) or Hard sciences (physics, mathematics, chemistry or computer science); degree must be obtained between December 2022 – June 2023
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 in any/all degrees (on a 4.0 scale)
- Ability to travel and relocate for each rotational assignment anywhere in the United States
- 1 internship/co-op in engineering, hard sciences, or a related discipline
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance*

- Strong commitment and interest in a career within Engineering
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with a variety of challenges.
- Communicate effectively throughout a variety of levels within the organization
- Results-driven, specifically when leading, motivating, and influencing others
- 2+ internships/ co-ops in engineering, hard sciences or related disciplines
- Familiarity with technology maturation process
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, driven and team-oriented
- This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The role can work out of the East Hartford, CT, Middletown, CT or West Palm Beach, FL locations.
