Position Summary
Kelley is looking for field supervision who will work directly with the Project Manager installing and leading small projects and service calls either lumps sum or time and material. Utilizing previous work experience in the planning and installation of electrical and control systems in new or existing construction, manufacturing plants and industrial environments. Your responsibilities include helping to plan, coordinate field activities and order material against the scope of work for a specific project. This is a working position where you must be active in current installation practices and have good troubleshooting skills. You will also oversee project compliance, start-up, and commissioning activities to ensure the safety of the electrical systems. You will wear your toolbelt often while leading by example and helping to train and mentor the next generation.

Duties and Responsibilities Include
Essential Duties:
  • Reports directly to the Project Manager
  • Develops relationships with existing and potential new customers
  • Works with Project Manager on scope changes
  • Meets project milestone dates
  • Turns in accurate and thorough daily logs and time sheets
  • Coordinates project management activities for material procurement and delivery, effective utilization of labor hours, and overall project performance to meet/exceed quoted cost performance
  • Effectively allocates existing workforce and coordinates securing additional staffing, as required, according to project demand
  • Ensures appropriate paperwork is submitted to Kennett office in a timely manner for each project
  • Effectively represents Kelley/Townsend core values and reputation in a positive, professional manner and ensures each crew does the same
  • Ensures proper usage and maintenance of equipment and tools
  • Ensures crews have the appropriate tools, equipment, and training to safely and efficiently perform the required tasks for assigned projects
  • Understands and complies/enforces all company policies and procedures
  • Maintains open communication with appropriate Project Managers/Estimators and Kelley Senior Management
  • Attends internal and external training courses which pertain to improving and developing job related business management, leadership, and operational skills
  • Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice

What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma, HSE, or GED
  • Master Electrician License
  • A minimum of at least three (3) years of experience installing or leading small projects or services
  • A minimum of at least ten (10) years of experience leading and managing large projects
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and possess knowledge of such electrical and control construction
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
  • Ability to manage compliance issues (OSHA, MSHA, First Aid/CPR, PPE, random drug/alcohol screens, etc.)
  • Ability to read and comprehend requests for bids/quotes, work orders, electrical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to communicate with others at all levels of the organization and to assimilate and understand the information in a manner consistent with essential job functions
  • Ability to professionally communicate with the customer and the public
  • Knowledge and compliance with company safety and disciplinary programs
  • Ability to utilize basic skills of Microsoft Work and Excel
  • Must be able to work flexible hours with some weekend and/or holiday work, as required
  • Extended out of town stays may be required
  • May be required to pass a physical abilities test/post offer screen for employment
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements
