This position is for a Technician performing electrical work for residential and commercial projects; the electrical tasks include installation and service of solar inverters, battery energy storage systems, service panels, electrical upgrades, car charging stations, etc. Must have knowledge of and experience working with electrical circuits for single and three phase. We provide On-The-Job Training and will also cross train in other aspects of solar energy installations; knowledge of solar components not required.

Full Time: 40 Hrs

Hourly wage: $16.00 to $25.00 per Hr Depending on Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Electrician – installation and service of Solar Inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Service Panels, Disconnects, Electrical Upgrades, Car Charging Stations, Electrical Panels, Switch Gear, Transformers, Pulling cable/conduit.
  • Installation of solar systems – PV (photovoltaic solar electric) or Solar Thermal
  • Use NEC and Local codes for commercial and residential areas in order to perform electrical installation, maintenance and upgrades for solar and other electrical devices
  • Work with local inspectors to satisfy requirements for inspections
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair problems with existing solar and electrical systems
  • Assist with overall crew/job site safety and safety regulations
  • Assist with staging materials, tools & loading trucks; Site preparation & cleanup
  • Complete paperwork and forms as required by management.
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner. Manage vehicle as per company policies

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior experience in Solar preferred, but not a must; OJT available
  • Valid (safe) driver's license
  • Must be able to climb ladders, pull/push/lift up to 70 lbs multiple times per 8 hour shift
  • Pass Drug Test
  • Occasional over-night travel within the state required
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues, read electrical blue prints, schematics, line drawings
  • Experienced with general construction, power tools and working on roofs
  • Knowledge of NEC and City building codes
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs
  • Must be willing to work on roofs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
