Job Description:
The assembler is responsible for mechanical & electrical assemblies of duplicate & R&D equipment with minimal to supervision of assembly champion. Responsible for training of the new employees.
  • Building equipment from a Work Order.
  • Mechanical assembly of machine and machine sub-assemblies
  • Electrical wiring from electrical schematics
  • Pneumatic plumbing from pneumatic schematic
  • Document any changes to electrical & pneumatic schematics. (Notify Electrical Engineer.)
  • Document any print & machine changes. (Notify Mechanical Engineer.)
  • Take Digital Pictures of machine build process and final build. (Supervisor will download data.)
  • Update any changes to Bill of Materials (BOM). (Notify Engineering and purchasing)
  • Fill out IPI (In-process inspection report) throughout machine build.
  • File all manufacture’s literature w/ machine file
  • File all manufacture’s CERTS w/ machine file
  • Responsible for tools and work station issued to employee
  • Able to read Mechanical blue prints
  • Final machine buy off on standard machines
  • Able to correct machine issues by simple component design/hand sketch and final machine component
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Provide domestic/International Shipping support when needed. (This includes planning/packaging of equpiment when required)
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
Level 7: 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Minimal time will be spent standing, talking, walking and hearing, some time will be spent sitting and lots of time will be spent using hands to feel and handle. Lots of time will be spent lifting weight up to 10 lbs, and minimal time will be spent lifting up to 50 lbs. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Minimal time will be spent working near moving mechanical parts, and with risk of electrical shock. The noise level is expected to be moderate, but at times can be loud due to air compressors.
