Engineering Electronics Technician
Summary:
Perform electrical testing of analog electronic circuits and work with Electronic Engineers to conduct qualification and design verification testing of new and existing products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conducts electrical testing of circuits and assemblies with the Engineering group on test bench.
- Performs assembly of product or equipment if required.
- Works with engineering group to complete required task and activities.
- Compiles test data from performed testing and reports and reviews test results with engineers.
- Performs Qualification, Safety Agency and Design Verification Testing for new and existing products
- Confers with Engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or equipment issues, malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation.
- Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.
- Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.
- Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
- Checks calibration stickers and calibration certificates of Safety Engineering equipment as soon as annual calibration is complete to ensure that relevant information is correct and uncertainty of measurements are in accordance with UL Document 00-OP-C0034, Equipment Accuracy Requirement.
- Troubleshoot and repair damaged products if required.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- BSEE with no experience might be ok
- Experience in prototype and testing of electronic assemblies
- Knowledge of DC, AC and analog circuits a must.
- Circuit schematic reading and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Electronic test techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
