The selected candidate perform corrective and preventive maintenance on telecommunications/electronic transmitter and receiver equipment, computer systems, network systems, fire alarm systems, CCTV and Intrusion Detection systems (IDS), modems, and other ancillary electronic equipment; complete supply documentation required to acquire required repair/replacement parts; demonstrate abilities to perform circuit board repairs in accordance with commercial standards; and assist with operating and maintaining station facilities systems. Individual shall possess the ability to mentor lower level technicians on the operations, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of station communications/facilities equipment. Individual must possess the physical ability to perform climbing duties, freedom from fear of heights, and possess normal depth perception and balance. Additional duties include site clean-up, lawn and yard maintenance, snow removal, and other tasks assigned by the Site Manager or Lead Technician.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Operate and maintain Site equipment, to include but not limited to: Electronics Systems, HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems and, Emergency Power systems.
  • Generate and maintain detailed logs and reports.
  • Mentor lower level technicians.
  • Keep Lead Technician, Site Manager and Technical Director informed of all abnormal situations.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager and/or required by the contract.

Required Experience:

  • Individual shall possess a minimum of four (4) years specialized experience in diagnosing and correcting malfunctions and performing organizational-level maintenance on electronics equipment and system.
  • Two (2) years must include operation and maintenance of high power transmission equipment (with power output greater than 1,000 watts) and systems at a military or commercial transmitter site.
  • CompTIA Security + Cert or higher
  • Must possess an active US DoD Secret level clearance or either of the following:
    • an active clearance within the last 2 years
    • a DoD background investigation within the last 5 years
