- Administrative Certificate required or willingness to enroll in an MDE approved program to achieve Administrative Certificate within 6 months of accepting position.
- Master's Degree.
- Minimum five years successful teaching experience.
- Ability to effectively solve problems.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Willingness and ability to work at evening and weekend school related events as required.
- Ability to effectively supervise staff.
- Outstanding leadership and personal qualities.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Competence in oral and written communications.
- Thorough knowledge of the teaching and learning process.
- Thorough understanding of the district's curriculum.
- Excellent ability to relate to students, parents, staff, administration, and community.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to assume instructional leadership role.
- Demonstrate outstanding role model attributes.
- Exhibit emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for meeting the requirements of the position.
- Operation of the facility in which the elementary school program is housed.
- The organization and supervision of certified and non-certified personnel.
- Leadership for curricular and extra-curricular program development.
- Assignment, placement, and supervision of students in an elementary school building with an enrollment of approximately 550 students.
- Other duties as assigned.
