JOB: To provide effective leadership to Embroidery Team for large Contract Embroidery Operation

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate production workflow: needs to be able to strategically plan weekly and daily workflow to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Professional communication and coordination with In House client necessary on daily basis.
  • Maintain embroidery staff by training employees, coordinating employee workflow schedules for high and low seasons. Must have prior experience managing and scheduling production personnel.
  • Must have prior knowledge and experience of duties included as an Embroidery Operator, ability to operate Tajima machines is a plus, knowledge of light machine maintenance necessary.
  • Monitor and control production output by scheduling and assigning machine operators, and support staff such as steamers, baggers and folders to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Monitor quality control of embroidered logos to ensure high quality.
  • Work all hours may be required during periodic rush season to meet customer commitments.
  • Achieve maximum productivity from staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; improve morale and motivation.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong coaching and supervisory experience in fast paced environment
  • This is NOT a desk job, must be able to motivate by example and be an integral part of the floor operation
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively
  • Demonstrates initiative with good follow-up skills
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (boxes) and be on feet most of the time
  • Ability to work in a high volume/high stress environment
  • Experience in computer software for digitizing and modifying existing DST and EMB files
