Job description
WE ARE OFFERING AN ANNUAL STARTING SALARY OF $50,752.00 with no strings, gimmicks, conditions, or contingencies attached. No undefined "incentive plans," undefined number of shifts, short hour shifts, limits on numbers of shifts to avoid paying overtime, sketchy sign on bonuses, uncertain performance quotas, etc. If you work for us full time on a 24-hr. assignment (Average of 2.25 – 24-hour shifts per week), or on a day shift (5 – 10-hour shifts per week) you will make a minimum $50,752.00 a year. The hourly rate is adjusted based on which shift you choose to work. The 10-hour shift is paid daily overtime and the 24-hour shift is paid weekly overtime - but both shifts pay a minimum of $50,752.00 annually. As of this posting, no other company that we are aware of is making this commitment to a clearly defined compensation plan at this rate of pay.

Emergency Ambulance Service, Inc. (EAS), a respected leader in the delivery of mobile healthcare services since 1977, is seeking candidates to fill full time Emergency Medical Technician positions working out of our Brea, CA location.
Our family-owned and operated company provides transportation in the LA/OC Metropolitan Area and responds to 911 calls and interfacility calls. Service levels include BLS, IFT-ALS and Specialty Care Transport.
Clients include cities and their fire departments (including the Brea Fire Dept., Orange County Fire Authority and Placentia Fire & Rescue), and healthcare organizations and facilities throughout L.A. and Orange Counties. We also have an in-house ambulance operator (AO) program. This position is based in Brea Fire stations and provides experience and training opportunities for persons interested in fire service careers.
Overview and requirements:
This entry level non-exempt level position linked in a common purpose with other operations team members is responsible administering basic life support treatment to, and transporting, sick or injured persons in the prehospital and inter-facility setting, as authorized by local EMS Agency Medical Directors and our Company Medical Director, by performing EMT duties, within the prescribed scope of practice and all applicable regulatory guidelines for prehospital care.
In response to State and Federal requests during the wildfire season, EMTs may also be assigned to fire line deployment duties performed under authority vested by their State EMT certificate.
EMTs wanting full time employment are required to have full-time availability. This availability includes the ability to work a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The 10-hour day shift usually requires an employee work five shifts per week. The 24-hr. shifts require approximately 2.25 shifts per week. Shift types in include fixed 24's that work Mon./Fri., Tues./Thurs., or Sun./Wed. with a rotating Sat. or a rotating 48/96 schedule that follows those used by our Fire Dept. partners.
At minimum Candidates must have a High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to six months of related training.
Preferred Qualifications - Six (6) months of verifiable recent and continuing experience as a practicing California certified EMT is preferred for this position. However, we will accept applications from qualified and properly credentialed new grads or other candidates with less experience.
Fire Explorer, Auxiliary Firefighter, and/or Fire Cadet is also preferred.

- Successful completion of a search of the Fraud and Abuse Control Information Systems (FACIS) database to ensure the applicant is not excluded from any government or healthcare contracts. FACIS identifies sanctioned individuals with OIG, GSA, and other federal agencies, as well as disciplinary actions by federal agencies and licensing and certification agencies in all fifty states.
- Acceptable documentation for compliance with the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1986, as amended.
- Successful passing of a physical examination, functional capacity test and drug screen without any limitations; and
- Successfully passing an Oral Interview
