The Engineering department is in the middle of a 20-year concessions contract with the National Park Service. Yellowstone National Park Lodges serves approximately 4 million visitors yearly, 3500 employees in park housing, 2000 guest rooms, and 1200 campsites. There are nearly 800 structures under our care throughout Yellowstone, including a new LEED Platinum dormitory and 2 National Historic Landmarks in the Old Faithful Inn and Lake Yellowstone Hotel. The Engineering Department Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting with daily clerical tasks and administrative support to department managers.
Join Our Team
- Full-time, seasonal position starting in March 2023 and ending November 2023.
- Location: You will be assigned to work at one of our properties across Yellowstone National Park.
- The work schedule is typically 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays). Time and a half is paid above 40 hours.

- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, Google Earth and the use of search engines. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) software is desired-not required.
- Must have a working knowledge of general accounting principles and credit/debit ledgers preferred.
- Must be able to efficiently communicate and develop working relationships with all departments, contractors, architects, engineers and the National Park Service through effective writing and speaking skills.
- Must be at least 19 years of age and possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be able to sit, stand,bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods of time.
