Description:
Support the preventative maintenance programme by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life and optimise the efficiency of production equipment.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Support and complete routine planned maintenance as detailed by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support production activities by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets.
  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in line with lean thinking and Maintenance best practice.
  • Report any defects and maintain safety and regulatory equipment.
  • Maintain a log of activities carried out on equipment, hours worked, spare parts used etc using the site CMMS.
  • Ensure that maintenance cover for production areas is provided.
  • Demonstrate flexibility regarding working overtime to provide coverage for holidays, sick leave, shutdown periods, busy periods and as required.
  • Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are maintained.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Good Manufacturing Practices requirements maintained by the company.
  • All employees are responsible for minimizing both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.
  • Work closely and interact with the other groups within the Engineering and Operations departments.
  • Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety regulations and policies.

Quality Specific Goals:

1. Aware of and comply with QA Facilities (including Clean Room if applicable), Preventative Maintenance, Calibration, Good Documentation Practices, Material Segregation and Control requirements as associated with this job type/position.
2. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
3. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
4. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Required Qualifications:
5. High school diploma or local equivalent
6. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Facility/Machine Maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
7. Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills.
8. General skills and expertise related to maintenance and facilities activities.
9. Demonstrate levels of theoretical knowledge with practical application.
10. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic fault finding and repair
2. Completed Engineering Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
