Overview:
Our Manufacturing Engineering Department has an opening for an Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations with assembly and test processes for existing and new products. This might be an ideal position for someone in production to move into the Manufacturing Engineering area.
Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify assembly aids and fixture requirements.
  • Develop, organize and maintain assembly aids and operation instructions.
  • Order, maintains stock of spare parts, equipment and supplies.
  • Organize and maintain assembly and test fixtures.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • One year experience in a technical role with good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • High School diploma or GED
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Certificate in Electronics Technology or Manufacturing
  • Associates degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Technical skills: ability to set up automated assembly equipment and support programming edits as defined by a documented manufacturing and processes; ability to use small hand tools;
  • Two (2) - Four (4) Years of experience in a technical role
  • Experience in the defense industry
  • Ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions; communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities; proficient English reading level to understand technical terminology used within the organization;
  • Strong mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent;
  • Computer skills: exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface using Microsoft office suite; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as Oracle and drawing-viewing programs;
  • Time Management & Organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Active Security Clearance
