Job description
We are hiring a detail-oriented Engineering Technician with experience working with complex technical systems. The successful candidate will have experience working in a team environment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to following company policies. He or she will be responsible for troubleshooting errors and maintaining complex computer systems. This position requires technical expertise and an ability to precisely follow detailed instructions.
The technician provides advice on unusual or controversial procedures, problems, or policy matters. This technician may mentor or train lower-level technicians, and performs, one or a combination of the following:
- Prepares designs and specifications for various complex equipment or systems
- Plans approach to solve design problems; conceives and recommends new design techniques; resolves design problems, and assures compatibility of design with other parts of the system.
- Designs and coordinates test set-ups and experiments to prove or disprove the feasibility of test and repair procedures; utilizes innovative engineering techniques, and improves the performance of the equipment. May advise equipment users on the design to solve unique operational deficiencies.
- · Plans approach and conducts various experiments to develop equipment or systems characterized by (a) difficult performance requirements because of conflicting attributes such as versatility, size, and ease of operation; or (b) an unusual combination of techniques or components. Arranges for fabrication of pilot models and determine test procedures and design of special test equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience as an engineering technician
- Quire's extensive practical knowledge of the theories, principles, and techniques of engineering and maintenance with an expert ability to apply this knowledge to the accomplishment of complex work assignments.
- · minimum of 10 years of experience in reverse engineering, specification development, and extraction.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with defense systems and equipment
