Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Analyst I:
Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and complete EDD reviews for Higher Risk Clients in a timely manner consistent with PGB’s BSA policy and procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains physical and electronic EDD files on Higher Risk Clients.
  • Collect & obtain documentation on Higher Risk Client including KYC/CIP/CDD, Treasury Management Agreements, Wealth Account Agreements and Loan Documentation from applicable departments including but not limited to: Retail Branches, Treasury Management Operations, Loan Operations, etc.
  • Performs transaction analysis of customer activity in the Bank’s AML system for possible violations of law or suspicious activity.
  • Download and scrub transactions from the Bank’s AML system.
  • Print & Save images of transaction tickets from 4Sight.
  • Analyze client transactions and transaction images for unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Perform searches utilizing Internet sources and/or third-party vendors (i.e. Google, Lexis Nexis, and/or CLEAR to determine negative news and obtain due diligence information for prospects and new/existing customers.
  • Effectively maintain Higher Risk Client Records, files, spreadsheets and related documentation
  • Report and escalate all unusual, suspicious or fraudulent activity or negative news findings clearly and objectively to Manager.
  • Reviews various reports as assigned (Payoff Report, etc.).
  • Responsible for understanding the banks products, services, customers, entities and geographic locations in order to conduct investigations of client accounts for potential suspicious behavior.
  • Assists in ensuring complete compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and AML related regulations.
  • Remains updated on all regulatory changes and court rulings as they relate to BSA, OFAC, AML, KYC and consumer compliance regulations.
  • Assists in conducting BSA/AML related training as needed.
  • Assists with federal examination and internal audit preparation work, as needed.
  • Attends job related seminars and workshops, as needed.

Assists with any projects, as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D required
  • Minimum of two years of recent teller experience or other branch related experience helpful
  • Must be skilled at problem identification and resolution
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work independently and multitask as needed, with limited supervision
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with Bank personnel of other departments either in person or over the phone
  • Ability to operate a PC and quickly learn a variety of software applications
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

  • Handles special projects and other related duties as assigned
