Enterprise Data Program Manager | Remote Opportunity

General Summary:

The Enterprise Data Program Manager will be part of a team that helps Employers define, capture, format, manage, and leverage our data assets. This role will demonstrate leadership experience in data governance, DataOps, and/or data management. #LI-Remote HP22

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish a clear direction and objectives aligned with Employers’ vision and mission
  • Foster change through collaboration with data owners and data stewards across the company to establish and define a data governance operating model including principles, policies, and data management processes.
  • Exercise strong leadership working both independently and with project teams to understand, research, determine, document, and communicate data governance direction
  • Cross-reference scope and requirements across multiple requests to ensure that solutions are additive and non-redundant
  • Define and monitor data governance metrics
  • Develop communications to support data governance processes and platforms
  • Develop and drive communications to information stakeholders across the company in newsletters and other marketing techniques to drive engagement and operationalization of the data governance operating model
  • Collaborate and coordinate with company communications and transition management teams to drive rollouts of data management policies, standards, and reporting processes to monitor adoption of these policies and standards across the company
  • Utilize deep knowledge of data needs / requirements and continually expand business understanding as you work to determine effective solutions to data governance adoption challenges
  • Drive employee engagement and team effectiveness through effective communication and by creating and maintaining an environment where individuals are empowered, motivated, and where the importance of collaboration within and across divisions / teams is fully understood and encouraged. Recognize individual differences while focusing on team cohesion
  • Develop and sustain an inclusive collaborative team environment to support diverse team members throughout data and analytics division and across the company
  • Proactively reduce rate of data errors using standardized workflows that include responsibilities not only within the Enterprise Data team but also responsibilities and accountabilities by partner teams across the company
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in data quality, governance, administration, or usage (such as in a BI/Analytics team)
  • Knowledge of Insurance industry, with preference for workers’ compensation preferred
  • Data visualization experience and skills preferred
  • Strong understanding of data governance and management tools/processes and the associated need across functions
  • Experience with information management practices including data lifecycle management, data profiling, master data management, and carrying out business audits/requirements gathering
  • Experience working with data quality improvement programs, data mapping/migration, data profiling, and data management approaches
  • Experience in data quality score-carding and data quality monitoring
  • Experience and familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other similar consumer data regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Highest level of integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000

Work Environment:

This position offers the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, our customers, and the team.

Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

TRAVEL: May be required to travel to off-site location(s) to attend meetings, as necessary

This role potentially and will routinely use office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and web conferencing technology as examples.

  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some mobility is required
  • May work early, late, or occasional weekend hours to accommodate business needs
  • Occasional lifting of a maximum of 30lbs.
