To join our team as a Field Energy Specialist! You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers under the Mass Save Home Energy Services (HES) Residential Coordinated Delivery program.
This tremendous program includes setting up specific Instant Savings Measures (ISM) for participants and coordinating the completion of the recommended measures, including installation of Thermal, Air-Sealing, Duct Sealing, Duct Insulation and Thermostat savings measures.

- $2,000 Sign-on Bonus
- 1st payment = $1,000 after 30 days
- 2nd payment = $1,000 after 60 days
- Base: $21 / hour
- Commission earned on weatherization project conversions which increases over time
- Mileage reimbursement to and from work sites is provided by the company

- Engage with a wide variety of customers
- Provide insights on available energy savings measures
- Clearly communicate processes, timelines, and potential obstacles
- Navigate multiple groups through various obstacles to complete work inside of an established timeline
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues in accordance with client specifications
- Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.
- Travel throughout a defined territory
Exciting candidates have…
- Relevant experience in building science or a related field is acceptable; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as construction technology, green building, sustainability, engineering or architecture, environmental science is preferred
- Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst certification is required within 6 months of hire, but will be provided by the company if not attained prior
- Any experience in residential construction, energy conservation, HVAC, building diagnostics, air infiltration reduction and insulation
- Strong customer service, sales and client relationship management skills and enthusiasm for energy conservation
- Computer proficiency, experience with Windows-based office applications
- Position requires flexibility to work evenings and some Saturdays. Travel to customer homes with own reliable transportation may be required daily
- Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds, climb attic stairs and climb a small ladder to access workspaces. Ability to frequently crawl in awkward confined spaces required. Basic competency with a variety of small hand tools required
- The ability to fluently speak Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, or other foreign languages is a plus
