Environmental Engineer – Laramie or Cheyenne, WY, Fort Collins or Lakewood, CO

Trihydro, a mid-sized engineering and environmental consulting firm with a nationwide footprint, is seeking a mid-level staff engineer to join its team. This position will focus on field support, construction oversight, site inspections, remediation system operation and maintenance, environmental sampling, data management and presentation, and report writing. We are seeking a mid-level staff engineer who is interested in serving a key role in furthering our mission.

Responsibilities
As a mid-level engineer, you will have responsibilities such as project management, assigning and overseeing staff for field project implementation, developing design criteria and calculations, evaluating remedial measures, creating detailed construction plans and related documentation, collecting field data, reviewing data, performing quality assurance/quality control, conducting construction inspections, assisting with construction administration, writing reports and proposals, and supporting client relations.

The position requires working with regulatory agencies, so previous experience related to negotiating and communicating with regulatory agencies is a plus. Experience in environmental investigation and remediation is preferred. The role requires up to 25% travel within the United States.

Position Qualifications:

  • Approximately 3-10 years of relevant experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

  • Written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project team members

  • Good employment or academic history with a commitment to safe work practices

  • Initiative and motivation with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule and in alignment with quality expectations

  • Reliable, team-oriented work habits

  • Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices

  • A clean driving record

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong interpersonal skills

Location
This position can be based in our Laramie or Cheyenne, WY, or Fort Collins or Lakewood, CO offices. Each of these offices are situated in lively communities that provide access to numerous recreational opportunities.
