GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking an Environmental Science Technician to join our team at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, OH, which provides integral mission support to the DOE. To learn more about Portsmouth, please go to: https://www.energy.gov/pppo/portsmouth-site.
*This position is full-time and will serve the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, OH.

Requirements:



• High School Diploma and 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with basic PC skills to include Microsoft software.
• Basic understanding of federal and state policies and regulations, project policies and requirements.
• Basic interpersonal and communication skills.
• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

Clearance Level Required:
Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance

Overview:

• Provides technical, administrative and/or functional support to the Environmental Science team.
• Assigned job duties may support Environmental Science functional areas such as sampling, data capture, entry and analysis support, documentation, report preparation, or related areas.
• Performs assigned tasks according to detailed instructions and established policies and procedures.
• Maintains data in various data capture systems.
• Generates reports.
• Assists with set up of sampling equipment, calibrating instruments and performing inspections of environmental facilities.
• Perform duties of general/routine complexity in nature.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner.
• Actively participates in Safety Work Groups.
