The Epic Application Lead - Integrated Clinical Applications, works as a member of the Clinical Information Systems team that will help lead new implementations as well as support Nuance DAX, and other provider documentation applications. The Epic Application Lead will work closely with the Epic and other clinical teams to integrate new technologies and processes into provider clinical workflows. Ideal candidates have experience leading projects; troubleshooting technical problems, are familiar with clinical workflows, and able to communicate effectively with non-technical audiences.

Position Responsibilities:
Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring.
Serves as a lead resource in the evaluation, acquisition, and implementation of clinical information systems.
Champions the redesign of clinical workflow and processes essential for the adoption of new technology.
Trains staff in use of software and updates.
Provides technical leadership in the knowledge of application database configuration.
Assist Clinical staff to resolve issues or problems.
Stay current with Clinical software upgrades, updates and any other software changes.
Collaborates with leaders on strategic direction of clinical supported applications.
Reviews and analyzes requests for current and new clinical systems or system enhancements.
Completes management-approved documentation necessary for all planned database configurations, tests, implementations, upgrades, and conversions including work plans, test plans, data audit plans, and implementation schedules.
Leads install of new software applications as necessary.
Reviews system and process design to discover opportunities for improvement or consideration of new technologies.
Engages departmental management and staffs in ongoing analysis of business processes with new or existing systems.
Completes and maintains documentation on the development and execution of all reports placed in production and their subsequent revisions.
Maintains update to date knowledge of all applicable system software, policy and procedures.
Builds, tests, and implements computer applications and other systems that support clinical initiatives.
Serves as a liaison between project team members and other IS resources while providing exemplary customer service and application support and development for all assigned clinical healthcare IT systems.
Performs modification of applications as needed to meet business and clinical requirements.
Interacts with clinical informatics to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests.
Documents issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity.
Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach, including continual improvement of knowledge of supported systems.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline and seven (7) years of clinical experience or designing, building and supporting clinical applications.
An Associate Degree and nine (9) years of clinical experience or designing, building and supporting clinical applications will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor¡¦s.
Epic certification(s).
Experience defining clinical and operating requirements, and translate requirements into clear, specific, actionable system configurations, and the ability to implement those configurations.
Ability to test and audit personally developed system configurations, in order to assure functional accuracy.
Knowledge of systems implementation which may include analysis, specification design, and implementation.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Relationship, teamwork, and project management skills.
Strong conceptual, process, and data analysis skills, an in-depth understanding of medical practice informatics, clinical, and operating data sets.
PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
