Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain pricing standards for all products manufactured at our Peapack, NJ facility
• Ensure accurate identification of project scope, company liabilities and their associated costs
• Process requests for quotes and pricing from all product groups within Komline-Sanderson; review R.F.Q., set-up price & weight sheet
• Use existing reference material and outside sources to establish cost of equipment and services
• File clear and easy-to-follow worksheets to justify pricing
• Establish and maintain cost standards on each K-S product line
• Investigate cost saving and redesign approaches
• Work with engineering and manufacturing departments to cut costs on equipment
• Report perceived changes in equipment costs to appropriate stakeholders
• Issue cost impact reports on design changes
• Establish costs for special projects
• Estimate costs for capital expenditures
• Track jobs for relation to estimate. Use reports and other tools to check progress of jobs through shop. Justify variances between job and estimate

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in arelated field
• Two to three years previous experience in costing, pricing & estimating material labor hours
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Collaborative team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,966.07 - $90,000.00 per year
