Overview:
The Events and Sponsorship Manager is responsible for planning and executing industry event and sponsorship marketing programs that drive demand generation. This person partners with Blackhawk Network’s Sr. Event Marketing Manager as well as marketing and sales colleagues to drive revenue growth through highly effective events/sponsorships with creative marketing initiatives that span all channels. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced work environment, is comfortable managing multiple projects at once, is committed to delivering quality and has a willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and get the job done.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the planning and execution for industry events, industry sponsorships and special projects as needed.
    • Collaborate closely with the Industry Events Manager, Product Marketing colleagues and Campaign Managers to ensure event goals, objectives messages and tactics align to supporting campaign strategies.
    • Help maintain a calendar of industry events
  • Execute events, sponsorships and webinar marketing campaigns across multiple channels:
    • Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables for our various events, trade shows, sponsorships and webinars.
    • Manage all internal and external stakeholders/partners to deliver on time – schedule and lead meetings as needed, submit creative requests for event assets, ensure deadlines for all deliverables are met.
    • Support the vendor on boarding and contract process as needed.
    • Manage logistical elements for events – event services orders, shipping, etc.
    • Troubleshoot and solve pre, onsite, and post-event problems seamlessly.
    • Travel to select event to install, dismantle and manage the onsite experience
  • Support BHN’s events/sponsorship ROI measurement process, ensuring all events have measurable goals in place and that KPIs are tracked throughout the execution process to ensure effectiveness for all programs:
    • Prepare post event reporting to document event success, learnings and areas for future improvement
    • Deliver event/sponsorship lead data to marketing operations according to agreed upon service level agreement to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of event management experience, ideally in the B2B space
  • Experience planning and managing logistics for company participation in conferences and trade shows (specifically customer conferences or roadshows)
  • Strong organizational/process skills and the ability to communicate cross-functionally.
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communications skills are required.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), experience with CRMs, Marketing Automation platforms and collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Self Starter with strong problem solving skills.
  • Can work as an individual contributor or in a group.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 25%.
