PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As an Environmental Services Specialist, you will be responsible for cleaning, restoration and shampooing of all floors. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strip, finish, high-speed burnish, spray buff, neutral clean, restore, etc. all floor surfaces as necessary and/or assigned
• Perform all cleaning, restoration and shampooing of all floors assigned
• Exercise care in the use of cleaning supplies, methods, and equipment, while following all safety guidelines
• Report needed maintenance and safety hazards in assigned areas to supervisor
• Contain and clean hazardous materials covered under the Code Blue specifications
• Work indoors and outdoors and is exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas
• Is exposed to cigarette smoke, hazardous materials and equipment
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledgeable of and experience with professional floor care equipment used by (buffer, extractor, high lift)
• Knowledgeable of various floor surfaces (wood, marble) and the processes required for maintaining them
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months of experience as a specialist, utility porter and/or training from the Culinary Training Center
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

PREFERRED:

• Experience in a similar resort setting
