Job description
Our client is the COO of a mission-driven education non-profit. Focused on providing science-based tools to education professionals, its mission is to support educators to design classrooms in which all children can thrive in order to expand educational opportunities, increase social mobility and reduce educational inequality.
Our client leads a team of talented leaders who are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the non-profit, drives strategic innovations to education equity challenges, and serves on the Board of Directors of several other education non-profits. This leader is making changes for today’s youth and is seeking a part-time Executive Assistant to support them in a variety of strategic and administrative ways.
The ideal Executive Assistant will come with a playbook, ready to onboard the COO and dig into establishing processes, and communication, and find a working rhythm that will allow this leader to focus on catalyzing change for underserved young people.
This leader values integrity, believes in direct communication, and acts with kindness. The ideal candidate will value the same. Any EA can book travel, but can you do it with care? Do you check for pricing, point plans, and shortest layovers? Any EA can schedule meetings, but can you protect this leader's time so that they can bring their best energy to designing solutions that serve the most marginalized students in our education system. To be successful in this role you must operate with a growth mindset, crave and appreciate direct feedback, anticipate needs, and optimize this leader's attention and focus. No two days or projects will be the same with tasks ranging from vendor selection and management, personal and professional appointment scheduling, inbox management, research, and network cultivation.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience supporting leaders with strategic responsibility, building systems, communicating proactively, be goal-oriented, delivering consistent results, and making data-driven decisions.

Bring a discipline and skill set in understanding executive leaders and optimizing their performance
Manage personal and professional calendars so that this leader’s time is aligned to their most important priorities and structured around their personal productivity highs and lows

Design and implement systems that help this leader cultivate and maximize the value of their personal and professional networks
Manage critical vendors and hold them accountable to high-quality results on behalf of this leader
Provide diligent, comprehensive, and well-synthesized research that puts essential information and insights into this leader’s hands when they most need it.
Manage important projects so that this leader’s energy and attention can be focused on goal attainment, strategy, risk mitigation, and leadership coaching rather than status tracking and administration
Eliminate this leader’s need to focus on administration e.g. expense reporting, data entry, travel bookings, etc.
