Job description
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join the team at a new hotel restaurant in Dayton, OH. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food and beverage operations for the entire property, with a focus on the restaurant, which features a wood-fired oven. Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing menus for the hotel restaurant, as well as banquet and catering events
- Overseeing food and beverage operations for the entire property, including budgeting and cost control
- Managing and mentoring kitchen staff, including hiring and training
- Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effective ingredients
- Developing and maintaining relationships with guests to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, and implementing new programs and services as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant or hotel setting
- Experience overseeing food and beverage operations for a large property
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and satisfaction
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Experience with wood-fired ovens preferred
