We are looking for experienced cooks to prepare food to our specifications and to set up your station accordingly. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction, can work independently, and gets along well with others.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies *Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) *Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements

*Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef *Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures *Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks *Familiar with industry’s best practices *Ability to multi-task

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

*High School diploma or GED equivalents. *Follows all food safety & sanitation procedures. *Applicants with food safety/food/managers safety certification will be given priority

SKILLS

*Remain calm and solution-driven in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere. *Demonstrate a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency. *Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and teammates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

*Ability to stand, walk, kneel or bend for extended periods of time. *Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists. *Ability to communicate effectively with teammates. *Ability to occasionally move objects up to 20 pounds.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

*Must be at least 18 years old to serve food. *Practice all general safety standards. *Maintain a well-groomed and clean appearance; including following all uniform guidelines. *Memorize and Maintain the Outpost Core Values.
