Project: We're supporting a well-established customer that works on a critical mission. The team needs to add an Expert level Human Geographer/Regional Analyst with a strong foundation in GIS and imagery analysis to serve as our customer site technical lead.

Day-to-Day with your Colleagues:
  • Use a range of data sources to conduct geospatial analysis in support of a Human Geography mission.
  • Perform data discovery using open-source research methodologies to derive geospatial, operational, and human geography insights.
  • Perform imagery sourcing and analysis using commercial and NTM sources.
  • Work with advanced geospatial models that answer key questions related to Human Geography.
  • Brief customer project, program and senior leadership, as well as mission partners on Human Geography efforts, results, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the larger Maxar community of experts to further the customer's mission and your own professional development.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess current/active TS/SCI security clearance with a CI polygraph.
  • Must have minimum of 20 years of relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training. Bachelor's degree in a related field can be included for up to 4 years of experience. Master's degree in a related field can be included for an additional 2 years of experience. Doctorate degree in a related field can be included for up to three years of this experience.
  • Experience using geospatial data sources from industry, academia, the Intelligence Community, the military, and the scientific community.
  • Knowledge and experience with commercial or government exploitation tools such as ArcGIS, ERDAS IMAGINE, Google Earth, Arc Catalog used to create geospatial products.
  • Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, computer technology, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Cartographic and Geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and digital data formats.
  • Demonstrated customer support skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Senior level proficiency in performing spatial modeling and geospatial analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex analyses and to communicate results using accurate, concise, and effective writing using descriptive and graphical representations.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Senior level proficiency in programming using Python 2.7 or above.
  • Experience with advanced geospatial modeling and human terrain analysis.
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$112,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually.
Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
