Finance & Business Management's (F&BM) goals are to ensure a sound control environment and provide financial advice to support the business strategy. Within F&BM, the Controllers organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle; performing critical reporting functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial and regulatory, as well as product valuation; and improving ongoing processes, and ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review, and analyze quarterly financial data e.g. Balance Sheet, Net Interest Income, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Global Systematically Important Banks (GSIB), Stress Losses etc. for accuracy and completeness. Perform quarter-over-quarter variance analytics and provide MIS to various teams including Front Office
  • Provide oversight in implementing a strong control environment and support governance forums to proactively raise concerns to senior management on a timely manner, with researched remediation plans
  • Participate in various aspects for the production, review and filing of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports filed with various regulatory agencies that are used by the regulators for compiling widely-used statistics on the levels of, and changes in, domestic and international portfolio positions
  • Adhere to proof & control procedures to ensure accurate reconciliation between regulatory filings, SEC filings and other published financial reports (e.g., Form 10-Q, Annual Report/Form 10-K, Call Report & FR Y-9C, Pillar III, etc)
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts around data quality review and external reporting improvement projects driven by regulatory changes and coordinate across different functional teams

Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • 5+ years in a Finance organization with exposure to accounting, financial statements, and/or regulatory reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong skills in time management, problem solving, written and oral communication
  • Team player, with ability to work effectively across diverse functions, locations and businesses
  • Excellent Excel and computer skills

Desired Qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred
  • Experience in Product Control, Financial Control or knowledge of SEC reporting/Reg Reporting a plus
