Job description
•Ability to present solutions to prospective customers and win orders as well as identify additional sales opportunities with existing customers

  • Identify quality needs and plans such as PPAP, first article, recurring inspection, or sample based on customer communicated requirements

  • Collaborate with multiple internal departments within the Ryerson enterprise to service customer needs.

  • Understand and communicate current market trends and customer feedback

  • Develop initiatives to identify potential industry segments and new customers within this sector

  • Develop quotations and negotiate contract proposals that are responsive to customer needs and result in profitable sales

  • Ability to build cost matrix for new customer opportunities and quotations

  • Ability to document Commercial Agreements, where firm pricing, inventory exposure, & special credit terms are required

  • Utilize Salesforce to indicate monthly client forecast and create SIOP reports

  • Use SAP to validate the final cost invoiced at time of reception of order

  • Create order requests subject to approval by the purchasing manager

  • Validate final POs with buyers to ensure accuracy

  • Acts as project lea
der on large quotes or packages, including quote management, supply chain management, and service model management; manages high level project vision and detailed quote needs.

  • Manage RAP contract inventory management

  • Coordinate Outside Service Provider (OSP) management by identifying new OSP/labor partners and assist in the evaluation of existing shops
Position Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years of fabrication metals sales and/or manufacturing industry experience required

  • Well versed in quoting and order entry

  • SAP Systems experience considered an asset

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications

  • Ability to work well and excel while working with a team or individually

  • Proficient in Sectura Fab quoting software considered an asset

  • Familiarity with Quality standards a plus (ISO 9001)

  • Good customer presence and professional phone acumen when speaking with customers

  • Experience in drawing interpretation (tolerance, materials and processes)

  • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills

  • working knowledge of geometry, strong math skills and a technical aptitude

  • Metals and part manufacturing experience

  • Basic financial acumen in developing cost build ps and resale price recommendations

  • Demonstrated experience with an ERP and basic computer experience

  • Blueprint reading and/or CAD and drafting experience

Experience Required: 1 - 3 Years

Education Required: Bachelors Degree
