Details of the project this role will support:

Must- Haves (Hard Skills)

Degree/Certification Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Interior Design, Architecture, or related Facilities field and minimum of six (6) years job-related experience. Alternately, a Graduate Degree and a minimum of four (4) years job-related experience.

Job Description:

Looking for a senior-level Space Planner to oversee space utilization, provide interior design services, manage renovation requests, and provide and move management support for multiple sites of mixed-use space across the L3Harris Northern Real Estate portfolio.

As a Senior Space Planner, you will be working as part of a team responsible for occupancy database management, move management, reporting metrics, design support, and AutoCAD drawing database management for 3.6m SF of mixed-use space.

Position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and critical thinking skills. Requires effective time management and organizational skills, successful management of multiple high priority tasks, and strong computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain an accurate occupancy database through an existing Archibus database, provide reporting to ensure accurate cost allocation through Finance

· Assist in selection of furniture and finishes, create design renderings, and work collaboratively with internal customers on iterative design approaches to meet the requirements within defined budgets

· Create furniture specification packages for bid based on existing L3Harris corporate standards

· Implement office hoteling / ‘free address’ for remote and hybrid employees to optimize office space utilization

· Partner with Business Unit (BU) representatives, ability to facilitate discussions regarding requirements (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs) for office and mixed-use space.

· Interpret customer requests, provide design concepts and AutoCAD drawings for demolition / renovations, and develop scope of work for Facilities Engineering estimates

· Update Facilities drawings in AutoCAD based on renovation projects, with adherance to L3Harris existing drawing / layer standards

· Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to coordinate office and non-office relocations

· Working with site leads to integrate additional sites into Archibus database across L3Harris

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Interior Design, Architecture, or related Facilities field and minimum of six (6) years job-related experience. Alternately, a Graduate Degree and a minimum of four (4) years job-related experience.

Proficient in space planning, interior design, restacking plans, master planning, space analysis, move management, and AutoCAD drafting. Candidate must be profficient in Excel and performing data analysis. Candidate must also be comfortable working in a database.

Working knowledge of corporate office design best pratices, construction standards, ADA & building codes. Ability to comprehend and enforce office space standards. Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and IT components a plus.

AutoCAD drawing experience required, an ability to maintain established CAD standards for drawing uniformity and efficiency also required. Experience with AutoCAD Architecture preferred.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Archibus Space Planning database module, or other Integrated Workplace Management System platforms

· Background in commercial interior design with comprehensive systems furniture knowledge

  • Experience in space chargeback and space allocation tracking
  • Experience in space planning for manufacturing and/or laboratory space, with classified elements
  • Experience in the general field of Facilities Management
  • Experience with Access database
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience managing projects from conception to execution
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers
