AZPetVet is seeking a Facilities Specialist to join our team!
We are a growing family of animal hospitals with locations throughout the Greater Phoenix area. In 1984, the first practice (Arrow Animal Hospital) opened in the Glendale area. Today, that practice has grown to a family of 22 collaborative hospitals built upon the principle of outstanding patient care and client service.
The Facility Specialist will be responsible for preserving and enhancing our workplace environment and the infrastructure that supports it. The Facility Specialist will ensure that the facilities are problem-free, safe, and well-functioning so that team members can work under the best conditions, clients have an exceptional experience, and patients have the best environment in which to receive care. This role excels in customer service to make sure our team members are accommodated when they submit a service request, are well informed about the progress, and fully satisfied with the end result. The Facility Specialist sets high standards and delivers consistently against them. In this role, the Facility Specialist will closely collaborate with others to address the day-to-day needs of the business and buildings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
Build a consistent, reliable, high-quality employment and client brand experience throughout the AZPetVet workplace. Assist the Facility Services Manager with accommodating the rapid growth and changes of the company.
REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
- Prioritize daily repair requests for the built environment as they get submitted through Remedy Force and ensure completion within set service levels.
- Communicate directly with team members about the progress.
- Ensure the Preventive Maintenance Program is executed within set parameters.
- Coordinate non-medical equipment repairs and replacements.
- Coordinate third party vendors and ensure delivery of committed service.
- Perform light maintenance repairs.
- Coordinate a variety of small-scale facility projects, as assigned.
- Monitor, track, and report costs and other performance measures. Review vendor invoices for accuracy.
- Work with the Facility Services Manager to develop and implement creative solutions that speak to the buildings' needs.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Assist with the execution of the health and safety programs.
- Eye Wash Stations, Floor Surfaces, Bloodborne Pathogens, Medical Waste, Medical gas
- Fire code evacuation and fire extinguisher use.
- Participate on the Health & Safety Committee.
- Ensure the EAP requirements are up to date and accurate.
RISK MANAGEMENT
- Participate on the Emergency Response Team as part of the Business Continuity Plan.
- Coordinate the Access and Security Protocols.
- Burglar Alarms, Duress Codes, Panic Alarms, personal safety, and Key Control.
- Investigate incidents/accidents following the Incident Reporting program.
RADIOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
- Assist with the Arizona Bureau of Radiology Control compliance.
- Assist with Ionizing and Nonionizing Radiology Inspections and Audits.
- Assist with the laser safety program.
- Administer the Dosimeter program.
VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS
- Assist with the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board compliance.
- Assist with the execution of the bi-annual Code Compliance Audits.

Physical Requirements:
- This role operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Knowledge of the MS 365 Suite is preferred.
- It requires regular travel to other locations and driving is required.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- The person in this position needs to frequently move about the office and hospitals to conduct minor repairs, access files, and conduct inspections and audits.
- Occasionally moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
