We are currently hiring for Family Support Specialist, to work within our Columbia-Greene Agency. As a Family Support Specialist, you would be responsible for:

· Partner directly with families in their homes on specific topics in order to stabilize the home environment

· Work with a diverse population

· Provide supportive services to the parent and child enrolled in the Healthy Families Program

· Complete assessments to determine a parent’s eligibility in the program and enroll interested candidates

· This position is a mandated reporter position and is required to receive Child Abuse and Maltreatment training and to remain current on reporting practices

Family Support Specialist Schedule: 40 hours a week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. Thursday 10:30am-7:00pm

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma/GED

· Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication

· Intermediate computer skills with specific knowledge in Word and Excel, and email

· Ability to work independently

· Ability to work some evenings

· 1-3 years of experience

· Driver’s license and a reliable car required for local travel regularly; mileage reimbursed

· Bilingual (preferred)

· Knowledge of child development and parenting skills (preferred)
