We are searching for a Field Service Technician to join the ESCO Technologies team. This individual is responsible for completing field service work, inclusive of preventative maintenance, warranty, and breakdown calls; via effective troubleshooting and testing. Assisting in the Validation of equipment when needed in line with Esco business objectives and customer satisfaction. Training in specifics of Pharma equipment assembly will be provided.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform project assembly and test work on equipment and systems by applicable regulatory standards and to cGMP and GAMP guidelines for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Liaise with the Project Engineering function to ensure the effective interpretation of project requirements, communication, timing, testing, and completion.
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude to assemble electrical systems using GA drawings / electrical schematics and wire equipment to electrical codes in a safe manner.
- Interpret and mark up as required GA, Schematics, P&ID, and detailed manufacturing drawings to required standards. Understand the electrical component specification and Functional Design Specification for a client project. Utilize project support documents during equipment and system assembly & test, including Traceability Matrices, Engineering Design Calculations, Bills of Materials, Test and Validation Protocols, Operating, Maintenance, and Safety Manuals, and work instructions for production and contractor functions.
- Capable of troubleshooting complex process systems, fans, pumps, control valves, instrumentation, electrical and control systems, including systems with PLC control and HMI’s.
- Perform service on equipment at client sites and generate service reports.
- After-sales support including spare part requests, warranty claims, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance visits.
- Solve technical issues remotely and on-site to ensure customer satisfaction with our products.
- Provide product and service training to customers on our products.
- Identify and procure parts & equipment to make your job easier. Maintain a complete service log to keep track of service issues.
- Work effectively unsupervised or as part of a team to achieve deadlines.
- Have impeccable time management skills.
- Work effectively under pressure internally and on-site while protecting the company image.
- When not on site for field service work, or installation, will be required to report to the local Esco office to assist the production team as needed.
- Fully proficient in MS Excel/Word.
- Associates Degree or Trade School Graduate with 1 to 5 years experience in hands-on equipment/system build / maintenance/service including the following:
- Ability to Read equipment wiring/piping schematics.
- Interpretation of equipment layout 2D drawings
- Ability to use test equipment for measuring and calibration of systems/devices.
- Competent Hands-on type person
- Good working attitude, detail-oriented, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- High-quality interpersonal communication skills with tact, diplomacy & professionalism
- Ability to troubleshoot / problem solve. Logical thinker.
- Perseverance towards achieving the goal.
- Good, Detailed Paperwork ability both written and word/excel competency.
- Ability to effectively Supervise/direct external contractors during installation.
- Fault finding of electrical panels, circuitry, and pneumatics.
- General Testing knowledge including Voltage, Current, Forcing of I/O’s, 4-20mA loop Calibration, pressures/flows, calibration, and equipment operation.
- Testing and Validation of systems following strict written guidelines/practices.
- General knowledge of industry guidelines & regulations
