A Day in the Life of a Field Technician (Project Technician):

We are managing a project called Keep Out the Rain. This limited-time program will help residents find and fix prohibited connections at no cost to the property owner. In addition to bringing residents peace of mind, your participation helps reduce wastewater treatment costs and basement backups in their neighborhood, making our entire community rain ready.

The Field Project Technician will work in the field connecting with residents by visiting resident's home to conduct a 15-minute Sewer Connection Check-up to find connections that allow rainwater into the sanitary sewer system. If we identify a connection that should be removed, KC Water will pay a licensed, pre-qualified plumber to do the work for free!

Field Project Technician Skill Requirements:

  • Data entry experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups of people

Experience and Skills:

  • High school graduate
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize work according to deadlines and organizational initiatives to produce assigned outcomes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage small-medium projects personally and work independently
  • Organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, good organizational traits
  • Self-motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
