Kaufman Dolowich LLP, a growing national law firm dedicated to providing the highest quality of services to our clients, is seeking candidates for a File Clerk/Office Assistant position for our San Francisco, CA office.
The File Clerk/Office Assistant will undertake a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks. They will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and are successful in supporting other business activities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Record upkeep and filing for all matters.
- Downloading materials from various media devices and uploading to firm program(s) and software.
- Processing all incoming correspondence: US Mail, Overnight Courier, Files, and Hand Deliveries.
- Handles monthly postage report.
- Ensures upkeep of copier/server areas by keeping them neat and well stocked.
- Provides printer maintenance and assists with IT issues.
- Court runs and local deliveries and pickup as necessary.
- Assists the finance department and Office Manager with vendor invoices.
- Assist in the coordination of special projects (i.e.: trial preparation, mediation binders and/or large scan and copy jobs).
- Process all closed files in preparation for offsite storage or return to client.
- Other duties, as needed, to support Kaufman Dolowich and office operations.
- Proficient with computers and online data.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must have intermediate to advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office and handle all digital media.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with limited guidance.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. for organization of physical files.
