Overview:
Final Assemblers work in an industrial battery distribution center (DC) to apply needed accessories onto the battery per the Sales Order using certain power and hand tools and performing light welding by using a torch.

Our DC is large in size due to our batteries but operates with a small and mighty team of 20 employees. Unlike some DCs, everyone knows your name and we truly work as a team. Final Assemblers must perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.


Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

(but committed to meet all daily shipments)


Starting Pay: $24.10 / hour

Responsibilities:
Production
  • Meet all daily order requirements
  • Pull batteries and complete per the Sales Order
  • Perform light welding by using a torch
  • Use certain power and hand tools while installing accessories/parts onto battery
  • Apply all needed accessories onto the battery per the Sales Order
  • Complete batteries per Sales Order in a timely manner
  • Drive a forklift and load batteries onto trucks when instructed/as needed
Inventory
  • Cycle counts to ensure inventory levels are accurate
Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous standing, lifting, bending, and twisting
  • Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Must wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes, hearing protection, etc., as outlined in established department PPE policy.
  • Must be able to do some heavy lifting.
Equipment Used:
  • Small hand tools, control panels, data collection equipment.
  • Torch to braze/weld some accessories on to batteries
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience helpful.
  • Computer literate.
