Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Review job orders

· Inspect all aspects of optical jobs

· Review lens cosmetics

· Analyze prescription, material, and lens add-ons

· Troubleshoot lens breakages

· Repairs and eyeglass assembly

· Other duties as assigned

Required Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

· Must be extensively trained in lensometry – able to neutralize Rx as well as measurements.

· Able to read compound prism

· Ability to troubleshoot lenses

· Ability to work as part of a team and also independently with a minimum of supervision.

· Excellent Attendance

· Good reading/writing/communication skills

· Optical training/ABOC preferred but not required

· High level of attention to detail

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly stand, bend, lift, push, pull and use hand tools. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
