DESCRIPTION

Quality Technician for Final Quality Control (FQC) is primarily responsible for maintaining the quality-assurance processes, testing products, and recording & analyzing results data during assembly. Quality Technician will report to Quality and interact with various production and engineering departments. Quality Technician’s top focus is on carrying out processes and ensure adherence to best production practices & product quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform FQC quality testing and inspection on finished machines and service kits.
Review FQC procedures and participate in improvement initiatives.
Implement 6S for work environment.
Test and inspect using MT&E (measurement and test equipment) and other tools (e.g. caliper, torque)
Maintain and communicate daily, monthly and quarterly on KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
Perform and report internal process audit. Assist with implementation of corrective actions.
Maintain quality calibration schedule and arrangements.
Initiate and communicate Quality Alerts for production-related issues.
Review ECO (Engineering Change Orders) with Quality and support implementation.
Perform investigation (troubleshooting) for in-process assembly issues and report potential assembly nonconformance.

SKILLS
Technical degree or Associates in related field, or ASQ Quality Technical certification (CQT) with 2-years experience in mechanical production.
Keen attention to detail.
Leadership skills.
Experience in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electrical systems & components.
Good written and oral communication skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
Visual factory, desirable. ERP system experience.
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Stand and walk for duration of shift. Lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
Basic understanding of design drawings.
Experience in ISO 9001 environment.
