Salary Range: Salary contingent upon qualifications and experience; excellent benefits package included
Position Summary: Under general supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Advisor is primarily responsible for the day to day contact with financial aid applicants and the processing of specific financial aid functions on the Oglesby Campus and as needed at the Ottawa Center.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in business or a related field and/or appropriate work experience in the Financial Aid field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Demonstrated proven ability to interpret federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations, policies and procedures; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, organizational and time management skills; ability to represent the college to the public; demonstrated effective use of the Microsoft Office Suite required. Proficiency with integrated computer systems (Datatel/Colleague, SCT/Banner, etc.); previous student services experience in a community college or other customer service experience; and willingness to attend training and take additional courses to update skills as needed preferred.
